An excellent example of one of our premier Lottery Retailers is featured below.
We look forward to a successful and cooperative relationship with you. Thank you for your interest, and good luck as a Florida Lottery Retailer.
Pravin Nayee, who came to the United States from Zambia, Africa, in 1992, purchased the OWG Shell convenience store and gas station located at 6203 Old Winter Garden Road in Orlando in December 2003. Prior to purchasing the store, he was a part-time employee for the previous owner.
Nayee's hard work has not only enabled him to purchase the store, it has also made him the top selling Florida Lottery retailer in his Sales Rep’s southwest Orlando territory, with more than $20,000 in Lottery sales per week.
Nayee attributes his success with the Florida Lottery to keeping his 32-on-counter dispenser full of new and popular Scratch-Off games, as well as keeping multiple books of popular Lottery $20 games available. Nayee and his staff are very customer-service oriented and even know many of their customers by name. They make it a point to know the favorite Lottery games and the numbers played by their most loyal customers. As an added convenience, the staff at OWG Shell often manually enters their customers' favorite numbers into the Lottery terminal so their customers don't have to fill out a playslip. Nayee also encourages his customers to take advantage of the ability to advance play their favorite numbers to ensure that they don't miss a drawing if they are unable to visit his store.
OWG Shell is such a strong seller of Lottery products that the store warranted an additional Lottery terminal. With the installation of the second Lottery terminal, Nayee and his employees are able to keep the lines moving and their customers happy. Of course, the increased sales the store generates have also well served the Lottery's contribution to education.
Nayee generously shares credit for his store's success with his Lottery Sales Representative, Edwin Perales. He says that Edwin visits his store regularly and keeps him informed about all the new and exciting things the Lottery is doing. Nayee's awareness of Lottery tickets and his sales enthusiasm make him our retailer of the month.
